Speaker Johnson met with the billionaire last week one-on-one.
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson said that he is going to plan a meeting between himself, Elon Musk, and House members of his party.
Speaker Johnson met with Musk at the White House last week, where they discussed potential changes to the federal government. The House speaker hopes that a meeting with members of his party may bring the Congressional majority up-to-date on behind-the-scenes discussions, many of which are linked to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and its work to cut costs and audit government data.
“We’re trying to figure out logistics, but he’s anxious to share what he’s finding, and a lot of things he’s told me in our private meetings, I said we have to make sure all the members understand the degree of the fraud, waste, and abuse and how egregious it is,” Speaker Johnson said.
Special Advisor Musk met with members of the Senate majority late last week to discuss DOGE’s work. The senators encouraged more collaboration with Congress and increased transparency.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Speaker Johnson as he seeks greater understanding in his party regarding the actions of DOGE.
- For Advisor Musk and DOGE personnel as they audit departments and agencies and uncover wasteful or fraudulent spending.
