Sunday, March 2

President Donald Trump will be addressing Congress this week. A few days after the president’s inauguration, House Speaker Mike Johnson invited him to address a joint session at the Capitol on March 4 to share his “America First vision for our legislative future.“

Speaker Johnson stated at the time, “Your administration and the 119th Congress working together have the chance to make these next four years some of the most consequential in our nation’s history.”

The House speaker and Senate majority leader will be working this week to reconcile the respective government budget bills that were passed separately in the upper and lower chambers.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump as he prepares to address the joint session of Congress this week.
  • For wisdom for Speaker Johnson and Majority Leader Thune as they negotiate the reconciliation of the government funding legislation.
  • For the president and officials in his administration as they work to implement changes in the federal bureaucracy.
  • For federal judges as they hear and rule on challenges to the president’s policies and actions.
