Each leader will discuss the war in Ukraine at the White House this week.
President Donald Trump will meet with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer at the White House next week to discuss ending the war between Russia and Ukraine, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz confirmed.
Advisor Waltz said he told his counterparts from the United Kingdom, France, and Germany, “‘We welcome Europe stepping in and offering security guarantees. We welcome Europe.”
He added, “We’ve been asking for years for Europe to step up and contribute more to not only their own defense but Ukraine’s defense.’”
President Trump’s administration has shifted America’s official stance on Ukrainian defense significantly, and European leaders are exploring options in response to this pivot. Earlier this week, President Macron hosted the first of two summits in Paris for European leaders, where they discussed how best to move forward with Ukraine’s defense in light of this new dynamic.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump to be prudent as he negotiates peace between Russia and Ukraine.
- For the heads of state to receive God’s wisdom as they discuss NATO obligations and defense.
