Available positions include at-large members and senior citizen representatives.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is accepting applications for its Investor Advisory Committee, which was created under the Dodd-Frank Act to safeguard investors and improve securities regulation. The committee advises the SEC on regulatory priorities, investment product oversight, trading strategies, fee structures, and initiatives intended to maintain market integrity. The SEC works to foster transparency and confidence in the securities market.
“We look forward to receiving candidates who want to serve on the Investor Advisory Committee,” said Acting SEC Chair Mark Uyeda. “Obtaining a variety of investor views helps the SEC to fulfill our mission on behalf of American issuers and investors.”
Open positions include general at-large memberships and a designated role representing senior citizens’ interests. Candidates should have investment expertise, a strong reputation for integrity, and a commitment to investor protection. Interested individuals may submit a letter of interest by March 15, 2025.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Acting SEC Chair Uyeda to be discerning as he oversees the commission.
- For members of the commission as they consider applicants for the advisory committee.
