He calls the group an “all hands on deck effort” to counter President Trump.
House Minority Leader Representative Hakeem Jeffries of New York announced the formation of a “Rapid Response Task Force and Litigation Working Group” to counter the actions of President Trump’s administration. He requested support from his party in a “Dear Colleague” letter on Monday, listing the members of the task force: Representatives Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut, Gerry Connolly of Virginia, and Jamie Raskin of Maryland.
“We are engaged in a multifaceted struggle to protect and defend everyday Americans from the harm being inflicted by this administration,” Congressman Jeffries wrote. “As outlined last week, it’s an all hands on deck effort simultaneously underway in Congress, the Courts, and the Community.”
The president’s actions in reversing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies, restoring protections for women rather than preferring transgender claims, removing officials in several agencies, and the audits of department systems being conducted by DOGE have caused some members of Congress concern.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For members of the minority party in Congress to be prudent in their efforts to counteract President Trump’s policies and actions.
- For wisdom for the president and his administration officials as they seek to reduce excess government spending and shut down wasteful payments.
