Issue 686 – National Prayer Needs

Additional National Prayer Needs

Pray for America’s Military

The U.S. and Philippines staged a joint patrol and training over the Scarborough Shoal in the South China Sea that has been under dispute. Prior to the inauguration of President Trump, China’s Coast Guard was continually patrolling the shoal, located near the Philippines, and even went as far as to sail within 77 nautical miles of Philippine coast.

Pray for U.S. military officials as they seek to provide deterrence to the Chinese military in the Indo-Pacific.

PRAY FOR AN END TO THE WAR IN UKRAINE

After speaking separately with Presidents Putin and Zelenskyy, President Donald Trump announced a delegation to discuss peace between Russia and Ukraine on Friday. The delegation will be headed by Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. CIA Director John Ratcliffe and Envoy Steve Witkoff will also be part of the delegation.

Pray for the U.S. officials as they discuss peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.

Pray for AMERICA’S RELATIONSHIP WITH ISRAEL

President Trump responded to Hamas’ claiming they would not release more hostages due to Israel supposedly not keeping their end of the ceasefire agreement. He stated, “If all of the hostages are not returned by Saturday at 12 o’clock, I would say cancel it and all bets are off… All of them. Not in drips and drabs.“ The president said “all hell will break out“ if they are not released.

Pray for wisdom for President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu as they assess situation with Hamas and any remaining hostages in Hamas’ captivity.

Pray for AMERICA’S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released maternal mortality rates for 2023 which reflected a decrease from 22.3 deaths per 100,000 live births to 18.6. The National Center for Health Statistics reported drops in mortality for all races except for black women. Life News noted that 2023 was the first full year after the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, which returned regulation of abortion to the states

Pray for U.S. health officials as they review and release information on maternal health and the decrease in maternal mortality.

Pray for Needs Across the States

Worcester County commissioners are protesting the Maryland Public Service Commission’s ruling to allow U.S. Wind to expand a proposed project. The commissioners cite the temporary status of jobs to be created, the damage that it will do to the commercial fishing industry, the increase in electric rates for residents because of the project, and the impact of the construction and visibility of the wind turbines on tourism and property values.

The Supreme Court of Hawaii ruled that “there is no state constitutional right to carry a firearm in public.“ The state’s high court stated that they read the words of the Second Amendment “differently than the current United States Supreme Court,“ calling the amendment “militia-centric.“ They continued that the terms “do not support a right to possess lethal weapons in public for possible self-defense.“

Pray for state and local officials as they seek to protect the interests and wellbeing of their citizens.

Pray for America’s Faith Community

“I talk to people quite often who have a hard time really believing that God truly loves them. I mean they believe that God loves people… but they are not so sure He loves them. They do not see themselves as deserving or worthy of His love, so they surmise that He does not/could not love them. Does that describe you?In John 15, the Lord tells to abide in His love, to stay connected, and remain in His love. He says His love for you and me is as great as the Father’s love for Him. WOW! Can you get your mind around that?
Without question, the most important thing in your life and mine is to truly believe this truth: God really does love us with an everlasting love. The greatest commandment is to love God with all we have within us (Matt. 22:37). We cannot begin to do this until we understand and receive His great love for us – ‘We love, because He first loved us‘ (1 Jn. 4:19).“ – Dr. Jeff Schreve, From His Heart Ministries
