President Donald Trump is meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba at the White House today.
The president with discuss mutual regional and global concerns with the new prime minister. Economics will be a prominent topic of discussion, as Japan is the largest foreign investor in the U.S.
President Trump was friends with the deceased former Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe and still keeps in touch with his widow.
President Trump will later head to Florida. He is hosting a dinner for a group of senators at his Mar-a-Lago residence.
