Today, the Senate Finance Committee, chaired by Senator Mike Crapo of Idaho, will examine President Trump’s nominee, Jamieson Greer, to be United States Trade Representative.
The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, is holding a business meeting to consider the confirmation of Kash Patel to be director of the FBI and other administrative items.
House committees are holding several hearings today, including the impact of overregulation on the California wildfires, “Combatting Existing and Emerging Illicit Drug Threats,” the role of domestic mining on national security, fraud and theft of billions in unemployment benefits, and “Oversight of Taxpayer Funded Animal Cruelty.”
