VERSE OF THE WEEK
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise. – Ephesians 5:15
How You Walk
In the 1960s, experts predicted that, by the turn of the century, technology would have overtaken so much of the world that the average American’s work week would be only 20 hours long, and they would work only half the year. The concern then was what people would do to occupy their leisure time. This year marks one-quarter of the way through this new century, and most people work at least 40 hours a week with only a couple of weeks’ vacation each year. Predictions are often wrong. There are 365 days made up of 24 hours each. How will you use them? God’s Word urges you to be mindful of how you spend your time, and to use it wisely. Your time on this earth is valuable in God’s economy. Make the most of each opportunity and evaluate your priorities. Expand your prayer life, setting aside intentional time with the Lord. As you keep God first, invite Him to order your steps and He will guide you in wisdom.
