State Department Halts Foreign Aid for Comprehensive Review

Secretary Rubio pauses all foreign assistance to ensure alignment with U.S. interests under the president’s agenda.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced a pause on all U.S. foreign aid programs funded by the State Department and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to evaluate their efficiency and alignment with the “America First” policy. This action follows President Trump’s executive order mandating a review of foreign aid to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent in ways that benefit U.S. national interests.

Secretary Rubio emphasized that foreign assistance must prioritize the nation’s safety, strength, and prosperity—echoing the administration’s commitment to fiscal responsibility and strategic investment abroad. He stressed the importance of this review as an ethical obligation to U.S. taxpayers.

The State Department and USAID are also conducting a review to make sure programs are efficient, effective, and consistent with U.S. foreign policy objectives.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Rubio as he implements policies to ensure that American taxpayers’ money is used effectively and ethically.
  • For President Trump to receive God’s direction as he implements foreign and domestic policies.
