Senate to Evaluate Panama Canal

President Donald Trump has requested the federal government evaluate the U.S. relationship to Panama and the national security concerns related to the Panama Canal. The Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, chaired by Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, is holding a hearing “to examine the Panama Canal and its impact on U.S. trade and national security, focusing on fees and foreign influence.“

The Senate Armed Services Committee, chaired by Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi, is holding a hearing to examine defense innovation and acquisition reform.

The Senate Committee on Veterans Affairs, chaired by Senator Jerry Moran of Kansas, is holding a hearing to examine the VA’s Community Care Program.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump to be led by the Lord as he makes decisions and issues executive orders.
  • For members of the Senate as they attend to issues that face the nation.
  • For incoming officials in the new administration to be prudent in their updates to policies.
