Brian Driscoll will lead the FBI as nominee Patel waits for Senate confirmation.
The White House selected Brian Driscoll as the acting FBI director this week, filling the opening left while FBI nominee Kash Patel awaits Senate confirmation and FBI deputy Paul Abbate announced his retirement after former Director Christopher Wray’s departure.
Acting Director Driscoll has been with the bureau since 2007. He has worked in the New York field office as well as serving on the agency’s SWAT team.
Former Director Wray retired from his position as FBI director after serving 7 years in his post. President Donald Trump was critical of Director Wray’s policies, and made Patel his FBI nominee for his similar criticisms and political alignment.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Acting Director Driscoll to be prudent as he oversees the bureau.
- For discernment for President Trump as he makes personnel decisions and issues order.
