President Donald Trump is visiting North Carolina today to focus on the progress of recovery efforts. Over a hundred people in the western part of the state were killed and thousands displaced by Hurricane Helene in September of last year.

During his inauguration speech, the president said, “Our country can no longer deliver basic services in times of emergency, as recently shown by the wonderful people of North Carolina, who’ve been treated so badly, and other states that are still suffering from a hurricane that took place many months ago.”

Prior to being elected to his second term, President Trump visited the devastated town of Swannanoa in October. As a candidate, he stated, “Every single inch of every property will be fully rebuilt, greater and more beautiful than it was before.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For safety for the president as he travels to North Carolina and surveys the damage and recovery progress.
  • For members of the Senate as they consider the president’s nominees for confirmation.
  • For wisdom for the president and members of Congress as they seek to support recovery efforts in North Carolina and other areas ravaged by natural disasters.
