She will replace recently confirmed Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed state Attorney General Ashley Moody to the Senate, replacing the open position vacated by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who was confirmed by the Senate on Monday.
The former state attorney general is an up-and-coming politician, and this will be her first time holding a position in the federal government. Her selection has received broad support from members of her party, including the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Chair Tim Scott.
“Ashley has done an incredible job fighting for Floridians and keeping our communities safe as Attorney General. I have no doubt she will do an incredible job as senator!” Senator Scott stated.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the future senator as she prepares to take office.
- For Secretary of State Rubio to receive wisdom from the Lord as he takes the helm of the State Department.
