DOE Funds Manufacturing Research and Development

A total of $136 million will go to selected projects.

The Department of Energy (DOE) selected 66 research and development projects to receive $136 million this month, advancing scientific exploration into improvements in manufacturing technology. These projects were selected based on their focus on six topics: chemicals and fuels, iron and steel, food and beverage products, building technologies, forest products, and front-end engineering design.

“These industrial subsectors are economic engines for our nation, producing critical consumer products and inputs used to make many other manufactured goods,” said Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Jeff Marootian. “By focusing on novel technologies and process optimization within these key subsectors, selected projects can bolster competitiveness and create a positive ripple effect for supply chains across our nation’s economy.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Marootian as he facilitates the advancement of manufacturing technology.
  • For U.S. energy and economic officials to be prudent in their investments in industry development.
