He sent the request to the incoming chair of the Homeland Security Committee.
Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri sent a letter to Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, as incoming chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, requesting that he call Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and FBI Director Christopher Wray to testify regarding the terrorist attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day.
“They must give a full account of this attack and any departmental failures related to the incident,” Senator Hawley wrote, urging Senate leadership to call them in to testify before they leave office.
Senator Hawley said the administration officials “cannot shirk public accountability” and requested a “full account of this attack.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Senator Hawley to be discerning as he seeks to hold the FBI and DHS heads accountable.
- For Senator Paul to receive God’s wisdom as he considers the request to have the officials testify.
