Today, President Joe Biden will speak about the Senate confirmations of his 235 judicial nominees. The number surpassed the previous record confirmed during President Trump’s first administration.
President Biden will also speak at the Presidential Citizens Medal Ceremony in the evening.
Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen notified House Speaker Mike Johnson that the suspension of the debt limit under the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023 has officially ended, as its expiration date was the first of this year. She also projected that the new debt limit would be reached between January 14 and January 23.
