The Department of Justice has issued a final rule to prevent adversarial nations from accessing U.S. government-related data and Americans’ private personal data.

The final rule complies with the executive order entitled “Preventing Access to Americans’ Bulk Sensitive Personal Data and United States Government-Related Data by Countries of Concern.” In it, the department was directed to establish and implement “a new regulatory program to address the urgent and extraordinary national security threat“

Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen of DOJ’s National Security Division said, “This powerful new national-security program is designed to ensure that Americans’ personal data is no longer permitted to be sold to hostile foreign powers, whether through outright purchase or other means of commercial access.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Assistant Attorney General Olsen to be led by the Lord as he fulfills his role in the National Security Division of the DOJ.
  • For Attorney General Garland and Justice Department officials as they seek to protect U.S. government and individuals’ information.
  • For the president and his advisors to seek God’s direction as they make decisions in the closing weeks of this term.
