Sunday’s crash at the Muan International Airport killed all but two people on board.
The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) will head an investigation that will include officials from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Boeing into a plane crash that occurred at the Muan International Airport in South Korea on Sunday. They will work with South Korean counterparts to probe the accident.
The airliner’s front landing gear reportedly failed to deploy, causing the Boeing 737-800 to skid off the runway and collide with a concrete fence. Two of the 181 aboard survived the fiery crash.
On Sunday, President Joe Biden stated that he was “deeply saddened” by the accident and that the U.S. “stands ready to provide any necessary assistance.” He continued, “As close allies, the American people share deep bonds of friendship with the South Korean people and our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by this tragedy.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For U.S. investigators as they assist South Korea in the probe of the crash.
- For FAA, NTSB, and Boeing officials to be prudent in their assessments and accurate in their reviews.
- For comfort for the families of the 171 who lost their lives in the accident.
