The White House Christmas 2024 one-hour special will air on HGTV today. The program, hosted by First Lady Jill Biden, showcases the “Season of Peace and Light“ theme throughout the historic home. Over 300 volunteers were involved in decorating the White House for the holidays.
Representatives from the U.S. Department of State are in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for the UN’s 19th annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF). State Department spokesman Matthew Miller said, “IGF is the preeminent venue for bringing together stakeholders from around the world to discuss Internet-related public policy issues.“
He continued, “the United States will use its participation at the IGF to continue urging governments in the region and globally to ensure all persons can express themselves freely and without fear of prosecution, surveillance, censorship, or other reprisal, consistent with governments’ obligations under international law.“
