One lot number was found to be contaminated with over-the-counter drugs.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently issued a recall on Umary-branded hyaluronic acid supplements, warning that one lot of the 850 mg tablets were found to have traces of diclofenac and omeprazole, a powerful anti-inflammatory that uses diclofenac to curb its negative repercussions.
In light of the FDA’s warning, Umary’s parent company MxBBB issued a voluntary recall to its customers, many of whom purchased the supplement through Amazon.
“MXBBB is notifying its customers by Amazon and is arranging for the return of all recalled products. Consumers that have Umary which is being recalled should stop using/return to place of purchase for a full refund,” the company stated.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For FDA Commissioner Califf and agency officials as they seek to ensure the safety of drugs on the market.
- For Secretary Becerra as he heads the Department of Health and Human Services.
