The individuals are known members of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion.
The Treasury Department sanctioned nine members of the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación, a relatively new but powerful criminal syndicate. These Mexican nationals operate multiple drug trafficking, human smuggling, and money laundering networks connected to the United States. Over 300 individuals and entities have been designated by the Treasury Department for their role in the U.S. opioid crisis.
“Today’s action underscores our commitment to target the networks of suppliers and facilitators that enable the illicit flow of deadly drugs into the United States, endangering the lives of our citizens,” said Acting Under Secretary Bradley Smith for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence. “The United States, in close coordination with our Mexican government partners, will continue to leverage all available tools to disrupt these criminal schemes and safeguard our communities.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Acting Under Secretary Smith to seek God’s direction as he heads the Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.
- For U.S. officials as they continue to identify and designate cartels and members who traffic humans and drugs.
