Supports 150 new affordable rentals to rehabilitated Silverado Manor.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) finalized a $37 million transaction with Reno, Nevada, this month, supporting the development of 150 new affordable rental homes in the area. This funding will rehabilitate Silverado Manor, which was constructed in 1963, with modern amenities, including energy-efficient updates, a playground, a computer lab, and a community room with a communal kitchen.
“Here at HUD, we work every day to ensure that the homes of the families we serve are not just affordable, but safe, resilient, and quality places where people can thrive,” said Acting HUD Secretary Adrianne Todman. “Today, we continue to deliver for these communities – many of whom have been historically disadvantaged and left out – helping to construct and rehabilitate hundreds of affordable homes for Reno residents.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Acting Secretary Todman to receive God’s direction as she heads HUD.
- For U.S. housing officials as they seek to ensure the availability of affordable, energy-efficient housing.
