President Joe Biden has returned to the White House from his trip to Peru and Brazil. Today is the president’s birthday.
Several House committees are holding appropriation hearings and bill markups today. The Senate Judiciary, Indian Affairs, and the Environment and Public Works Committees are holding respective meetings to consider nominations.
Among the other hearings being convened today, the House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement, chaired by Representative Tom McClintock of California, will hear testimony from Secretary Xavier Becerra regarding the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Refugee Resettlement.
