House Ethics Panel to Meet Regarding Report on Former Representative Gaetz

The now-nominee for U.S. attorney general was already cleared by the DOJ.

The House Ethics Panel is considering whether or not to release a report on former Congressman Matt Gaetz. House Speaker Mike Johnson has recommended keeping the report under wraps as the representative from Florida no longer serves in the chamber, having resigned after President-elect Trump nominated him for U.S. Attorney General.

The ethics probe, into allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking, is said to rely on witnesses that the Justice Department already determined were not credible. The accusations against the former congressman come from a Florida tax collector who is serving 11 years in prison and the DOJ closed its case in 2022.

Former Representative Gaetz has repeatedly denied all allegations made against him.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the members of the House Ethics Panel to be prudent in their decision regarding the report.
  • For the president-elect to be led by God in his appointments and nominations.
  • For former Congressman Gaetz as he prepares for the Senate confirmation process.
