Disaster relief teams were instructed to skip homes with Trump signs or flags.
House committees will hear testimony from Administrator Deanne Criswell after a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) employee was dismissed for instructing disaster relief teams in Florida not to assist hurricane survivors displaying yard signs supporting President-elect Donald Trump.
While the FEMA administrator claimed the guidance was “a clear violation of FEMA’s core values and principles to help people regardless of their political affiliation,” the fired employee claimed that this was widespread agency policy.
The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure stated, “Additional reports have surfaced that some FEMA officials may have de-prioritized assisting homes displaying Trump for President campaign signs. Subcommittee Members will have the opportunity to raise these issues and others at next week’s hearing.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For members of the House committees as they prepare to question the FEMA administrator on the agency’s guidance.
- For Administrator Criswell to be honest and transparent in her testimony before the committees.
