President Joe Biden has notified Congress of the continuation of two national emergency declarations.
The president stated, “I have sent to the Federal Register for publication the… notice stating that the national emergency with respect to the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction declared in Executive Order 12938 of November 14, 1994, is to continue in effect beyond November 14, 2024.“
He also wrote, “I have sent to the Federal Register for publication the… notice stating that the national emergency with respect to the threat from securities investments that finance certain companies of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) that was declared in Executive Order 13959 of November 12, 2020, and expanded in scope in Executive Order 14032 of June 3, 2021, is to continue in effect beyond November 12, 2024.“
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for the president and his advisors as they review and extend national emergency declarations.
- For the president of the Senate, Senate majority leader, and speaker of the House as they assess the remaining legislative priorities of the current term.
- For U.S. officials to be discerning as they consider policies and strategies related to the PRC.
