He delivered awards to 356 schools that improved academic achievement.
Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona honored representatives from the 2024 cohort of National Blue Ribbon Schools. The secretary gave the event’s luncheon address and presented each awardee with plaques and flags to mark their achievement. Secretary Cardona also awarded the Terrel H. Bell Award for Outstanding School Leadership to nine schools.
“This year, 356 schools were announced as 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools,” the Education Department stated. “Recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance and/or progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. The schools serve as models of effective school practices for state and district educators and other schools throughout the nation.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That Secretary Cardona seeks wisdom from God as he heads the Education Department.
- For U.S. education officials to pursue the most beneficial policies and programs for the students in the nation’s schools.
