Funds rapid rehousing, permanent supportive housing, and transitional residences.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development announced that 14 communities have received $72 million to implement programs addressing youth homelessness. The programs include rapid rehousing, host homes, transitional housing, and permanent supportive residences. Distributed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), this funding will help youth transitioning out of foster care and currently homeless youth find stable living conditions as quickly as possible.
“Young people across our country deserve a stable home and a supportive community,” said Acting HUD Secretary Adrianne Todman. “We are leading the charge in partnering with communities, our federal partners, and youth who have experienced homelessness to increase the housing supply for those among the most vulnerable in our communities and make significant strides in the fight to prevent and end youth homelessness.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Acting Secretary Todman to be prudent in her management of HUD.
- For HUD officials as they facilitate programs to house homeless youth.
