Federal Agencies Seek Public Input on State of U.S. Air Travel

Departments of Transportation and Justice are interested in the impact of consolidation on customer experience.

President Biden’s administration recently requested public comment on the state of competition in air travel, with the Departments of Transportation and Justice jointly opening their request for information for the next 60 days. The agencies hope that airline customers, workers, and other professionals can share their experiences with air travel services and how they have seen those services impacted by company mergers, price fluctuations, or a wide variety of other factors.

“Good service and fair prices depend on ensuring that there is real competition, which is especially challenging for the many American communities that have lost service amid airline consolidation,” said Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. “Our goal with this inquiry is to identify and remove barriers to competition so that more Americans can access the opportunities that come with good, affordable air service.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For U.S. transportation and justice officials as they seek input on the status of air travel in the nation.
  • For Secretary Buttigieg and Attorney General Garland to seek God’s wisdom as they head their departments.
