IRS Releases Final Rule for Clean Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit

The agency clarifies incentives for domestic solar and wind energy component production.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has released its final rules for manufacturing companies applying for tax credits on their clean energy technology production. Facilitating the growth of domestic clean energy components for solar and wind technologies has been a key focus of the presidnt’s administration, and the Treasury Department intends these new tax credits to incentivize American manufacturers to pursue that goal.

“These investments are creating good-paying jobs, strengthening U.S. supply chains, and lowering costs for American consumers and businesses,” said Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen. “The final rules announced today will help companies continue to invest and innovate in the United States as we build out our clean energy economy.”

The generation and production of energy and the pursuit of climate goals are key issues in the presidential election.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
