Time to Praise
Perhaps you have been tempted to wonder about God’s purposes as the United States has experienced political and cultural division. Then there is the devastation of wildfires in the west and the disastrous flooding and tornados spawned by the recent hurricanes. What do you do when your faith feels shaky? Take a moment to look at the Lord’s big picture. It is His desire that all people should come to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. He may allow the world to rattle from pole to pole and around its circumference to get the attention of humans and draw them to Himself before it is too late. God alone knows His timetable. Take heart, the Lord is the King of the universe, who rules and overrules as Most High (Psalm 83:18). Place your confidence in Him and know that there will come a time “when all the tribes of the earth… will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory“ (Matthew 24:30). Praise Him today!
