Today, Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jose Fernandez will deliver remarks alongside Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Policy Nik Gjeloshaj of Montenegro in Washington, D.C.

The two leaders will then sign a memorandum of understanding on economic cooperation, establishing a US-Montenegro Economic Dialogue to promote bilateral trade and investment. 

State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller stated, “Cooperative activities under the arrangement may include the promotion of trade and investment in sectors of mutual interest to strengthen the U.S.-Montenegro relationship.“
