Deputy Secretary of State Kurt Campbell is on travel to South Korea.
State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said, “In Seoul, the Deputy Secretary will meet with a range of senior ROK officials to discuss bilateral cooperation to foster security and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region, as well as common regional and global challenges, including our shared concerns over DPRK provocations on the Korean Peninsula.“
He continued, “In Seoul, Deputy Secretary Campbell will also participate in a U.S.-ROK-Japan Trilateral Deputy Secretary-Vice Foreign Ministerial meeting. This high-level meeting will bring together Deputy Secretary Campbell and his counterparts, Republic of Korea First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim and Japanese Vice Minister Okano, to build on trilateral cooperation discussions held at their first meeting in Washington, Virginia, in May.“
