Sabrina Singh
Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary
Sabrina Singh was born in 1988 in Los Angeles, California. She received an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California School of International Relations. She began her career as a press assistant in the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.
Singh was communications director for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign in 2016. She served as then-Senator Kamala Harris’ press secretary. She worked as the national spokesperson for Michael Bloomberg’s presidential campaign in 2020 and as national press secretary for Cory Booker’s presidential campaign that same year.
Singh is married to Mike Smith, who is the political director for Representative Nancy Pelosi, former House Speaker.

Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh provided updates on the Defense Department’s continued assistance with relief efforts after Hurricane Helene and preparations for Hurricane Milton.
Deputy Secretary Singh said the National Guard has more than 3,300 active duty and National Guard troops on duty in North Carolina under the leadership of a dual-status commander. She reported that more than 1,500 of those are active duty soldiers now helping with emergency roof clearance, rotary wing search and rescue and the delivery of food, water and other needed resources to residents.
She also reported, “In Florida, more than 5,000 members of the Florida National Guard have been mobilized to prepare for recovery efforts from the imminent arrival of Hurricane Milton.”
The deputy press secretary added that U.S. Army North prepared high-water rescue vehicles, helicopters for search and rescue operations, force to support to FEMA search and rescue teams and medium-lift helicopters for moving personnel and equipment which can also provide command, control and sustainment support to DOD forces.
