Responds to threats against Israel and downed U.S. military drone.
U.S. officials confirmed that the United States struck over a dozen Houthi strongholds on Friday.
After shooting down a U.S. military drone flying over Yemen, the Houthi rebel group threatened “escalating military operations” against Israel for its attacks against Gaza and Lebanon. The group also claimed responsibility for an attack that targeted U.S. warships last week, firing a number of ballistic missiles while the ships traveled through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. All missiles were intercepted by Navy destroyers.
In response, the U.S. struck Houthi-controlled bases in Hodeida, Katheib, Seiyana, and the Dhamar province. The Houthi media also reported three air raids in the Bayda province.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for U.S. military officials as they respond to the Yemeni rebel group’s actions.
- For Pentagon leaders and commanders to seek God’s guidance as they advise the president and defense secretary.
