Today, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) Todd Robinson is in Guatemala.
He is heading an interagency delegation to the inaugural U.S.-Guatemala High-Level Security Dialogue.
“This follows the White House’s March 25 announcement of $50 million for the Guatemala Se Transforma Initiative and its intention to bolster cooperation on security, democracy, and the rule of law in Guatemala,“ State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said. “Assistant Secretary Robinson will also meet with Guatemalan officials to address shared challenges, including combating corruption, drug trafficking, and other forms of transnational crime.“
