Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, will debate former President Donald Trump’s running mate, Senator J.D. Vance of Ohio, tonight at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City. The 90-minute debate will have two moderators and no in-person audience.

Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas announced that Qatar has been designated into the Visa Waiver Program. The decision was made in consultation with Secretary of State Antony Blinken. As of today, U.S. citizens may stay in Qatar for up to 90 days visa-free.

The Department of Homeland Security stated that this will “enhance the security interests of the United States in addition to encouraging legitimate travel and commerce between the two nations.” Secretaries Mayorkas and Blinken “commend Qatar for meeting the stringent security requirements to join the Visa Waiver Program.”

“The Visa Waiver Program is one of our most successful security initiatives. Qatar’s participation in the program increases information sharing regarding one of the world’s busiest travel and transfer hubs, strengthening the security of the United States,” said Secretary Mayorkas.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the two vice presidential candidates to clearly state their positions and platforms.
  • For the secretaries of Homeland Security and State as they collaborate on the nations to designate into the Visa Waiver Program.
  • For wisdom for Secretary Mayorkas as he oversees the Department of Homeland Security and addresses national security issues.
  • For the president, vice president, and administration officials as they seek to strengthen international partnerships.
