Vice President Kamala Harris is visiting Las Vegas, Nevada, and Los Angeles, California, today.
She will attend a campaign rally in Nevada and hold a fundraiser and reception in California.
The vice president has said that her economic plan includes “making big corporations and the wealthy pay their fair share” and “establishing a minimum income tax on billionaires.” She has promoted a $50,000 tax deduction for new small businesses, advocated for a national ban on “price gouging“ on food, and investigated price-fixing in the meat supply.
Vice President Harris has also suggested $25,000 in down payment assistance for first-time home buyers. She has proposed a variety of tax credits for children, rent, and low-income workers.
