Secret Service Staffing Shortage Forces Trump Campaign to Move Event

The Saturday rally in Wisconsin has moved indoors.

The U.S. Secret Service has attributed an agency staffing shortage to the location change of former President Donald Trump’s Wisconsin rally on Saturday from an airport to a smaller indoor arena. The strain on the personnel was reportedly due to the United Nations General Assembly annual meeting in New York this week.

A whistleblower alleged that the Secret Service tried to make the former president and presidential candidate cancel the event. Senator Josh Hawley contacted Acting Director Ronald Rowe to follow up on the report.

The senator from Missouri questioned the acting director’s assertions that the former president is “getting everything that the current president has with respect to Secret Service assets.” He pointed out an apparent double standard, asking, “Has the Secret Service ever told President Biden or Vice President Harris that the agency could not secure a campaign event of their choosing?”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Director Rowe and Secret Service officials as they endeavor to protect the presidential candidates and other federal officials.
  • For Senator Hawley and other federal legislators as they seek to ensure the Secret Service safeguards the candidates in light of the assassination attempts against the former president.
