Today, Acting Under Secretary of State John Bass is in Ankara, Turkey. He began the trip earlier this week by visiting Islamabad, Pakistan.

State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller said Under Secretary Bass met with senior Pakistani government officials in Islamabad to discuss a range of bilateral issues and shared regional security challenges.

The spokesperson continued, “In Ankara, Under Secretary Bass will meet with senior officials in the Turkish government to underscore the strength of the United States-Türkiye bilateral relationship and to discuss efforts by the United States and Türkiye to work together in support of peace and stability in the region.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Under Secretary Bass to receive God’s wisdom as he meets with Turkish officials in Ankara.
  • For discernment for Secretary of State Blinken and U.S. diplomats in their discussions with foreign ministers.
  • For the president, vice president, and foreign policy advisors as they pursue international administration goals.
