Treasury Reports 49 Million Now Enrolled in ACA Health Insurance

The program has reached the highest level of enrollment since it began.

The Treasury Department recently reported that one in seven Americans, a total of 49.4 million enrollees, have signed up for Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance. This month, the department released its annual report that documents ACA statistics, noting that enrollment reached an all-time high of 20.8 million people in 2024.

“Marketplace enrollment has surged under the Biden-Harris Administration, which has especially helped American families with their monthly bills and entrepreneurs who are looking for coverage as they start new businesses,” said Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

At its baseline, the Affordable Care Act offers healthcare coverage for people with annual incomes between 100 percent and 138 percent of the national poverty level, currently set by the government at $15,060 for individuals and $31,200 for a family of four. In 2024, the average plan premium costs $800 for a year of enrollment.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Yellen to receive God’s guidance as she oversees the Treasury Department.
  • For U.S. Treasury and Health officials as they assess the enrollment in and efficacy of the ACA program.
