GA Judge Dismisses 2 Counts Against Trump in Election Interference Case

Another charge against the former president’s allies was also dropped.

Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee ruled that the state of Georgia does not have the authority to bring two of the ten charges it has filed against former President Donald Trump. Judge McAfee had dismissed three other charges previously for lack of detail.

The judge also dropped charges of forgery against two of the former president’s co-defendants.

The original case against President Trump and 18 others stated that they conspired to interfere with the result of the 2020 presidential election. They have pleaded not guilty. Eight charges of the original thirteen against the former president will proceed.

The case has been on hold as the Georgia Court of Appeals considers the relationship between Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, the lawyer she appointed as lead prosecutor against President Trump.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Judge McAfee to be discerning in his rulings regarding the election interference case.
  • For former President Trump and the other defendants and attorneys to present factual evidence as the case proceeds.
