Facebook CEO Acknowledges Censorship to House Committee

He speaks about “demoting” COVID-related posts and information on Hunter Biden’s laptop.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote to Chair Jim Jordan of the House Judiciary Committee this week, acknowledging that his social media platform censored posts at the request of the U.S. government and President Joe Biden’s administration.

The Facebook CEO wrote, “Ultimately, it was our decision whether or not to take content down, and we own our decisions, including COVID-19-related changes we made to our enforcement in the wake of this pressure. I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it.”

He continued, “I also think we made some choices that, with the benefit of hindsight and new information, we wouldn’t make today. Like I said to our teams at the time, I feel strongly that we should not compromise our content standards to pressure from any Administration in either direction – and we’re ready to push back if something like this happens.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Chairman Jordan and members of the House Judiciary Committee as they investigate the suppression of information by the president’s administration.
  • For U.S. governing officials to protect and uphold the freedoms enumerated in the U.S. Constitution’s Bill of Rights.
  • For wisdom for American voters as they determine who they will vote for in the coming elections.
