Today, the House Veterans Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity, chaired by Representative Derrick Van Orden of Wisconsin, is holding a field hearing at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse titled “Examining Transitioning Servicemembers Experience.”

In this hearing, which was postponed from its original date in April, the subcommittee will hear testimony on the experience of U.S. service members who transition out of the military.

Witnesses will include directors from offices within the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Benefits Administration. The committee will also hear testimony from veterans, academic, and nonprofit officials.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Chair Van Orden and members of the committee as they assess the VA’s proficiency at assistant service members as they transfer out of the U.S. military.
  • For members of Congress as they evaluate the policies and programs of federal agencies regarding military veterans.
  • For the president, vice president, and administration officials as they continue to promote their agenda.
