In the News…

Lieutenant General John Morrison announced the restructuring of the Army’s signal battalions at the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association TechNet event in Augusta, Georgia. He explained that the changes will integrate technological advancements and create division-centric combat plans.

Lt. General Morrison stated that resources will handle network-centered issues at the division level, allowing signal soldiers to focus on unit-level work in their brigades. This will remove the analytics of battle plans from the shoulders of the brigades.

He said that senior leaders want large-scale combat operations to move faster than the previous brigade-centered model. The Army Deputy Chief of Staff said, “We want brigades moving and fighting.”
