The U.S. Department of Agriculture has extended the deadline for its Water Source Pilot Project for Urban Farmers. The initiative offers financial assistance to urban farmers for the collection and conservation of water.

Urban farmers in Michigan now have until the 30th of August to apply for current fiscal year funding.

The USDA stated, “The Natural Resource Conservation Service’s Water Source Initiative improves urban farmers’ access to water through the implementation of conservation practices focusing on water access and irrigation efficiency.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Tom Vilsack to receive God’s direction as he heads the USDA.
  • For U.S. farmers, whether urban or rural, as they seek to produce crops to support the nation’s food supply.
  • For the president and members of his Cabinet to be discerning in their promotion of initiatives.
