White House Hosts Digital Creator Conference

Over 100 digital creators discuss issues facing the sector.

The White House hosted its first-ever Creator Economy Conference on Wednesday, inviting over 100 digital creators to discuss the issues facing the young industry. White House officials estimate that the internet creator sector represents around $250 billion of the U.S. economy, a number expected to double in the next few years.

“I have a bunch of grandchildren, and, with all due respect, they don’t read the same newspapers or watch the same television I do,” President Biden said to the creators gathered in the Indian Treaty Room. “They listen to all of you. They listen to all of you.”

After President Biden’s speech, the creators met in smaller groups for conversations with federal officials. They discussed concerns regarding the rise of artificial intelligence, online misinformation, mental health hurdles, and pay equity issues facing those whose main source of income comes from making online content.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president, vice president, and members of the administration as they seek to support the digital creation sector.
  • For wisdom for U.S. officials as they address AI, information, mental health, and online content income.
