Treasury Sanctions 24 Entities Supporting Belarusian Regime

The department takes action to disrupt revenue generation and sanction evasions.

The Treasury Department sanctioned 24 entities linked to Belarusian defense programs, cutting off U.S. finances from 19 individuals, 14 organizations, and one aircraft.

Belarus operates as a proxy for Russia in its war on Ukraine, offering military manufacturing and shipment to nearby Russian forces. Many sanctions are already in place against Belarus, but five of the organizations named by the Treasury Department are being sanctioned for aiding in sanction evasion efforts.

“As Belarus marks another year under Lukashenka’s rule, the regime’s blatantly corrupt, destabilizing, and anti-democratic acts—along with its continued support for Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine—have only further ostracized Belarus from the global community,” said Acting Under Secretary of the Treasury Bradley Smith.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Under Secretary Smith as he facilitates the placement of sanctions against supporters of Russia in its war with Ukraine.
  • For the president, vice president, and members of the administration as they continue to seek ways to support Ukraine.
