White House pursues diplomatic avenues to de-escalate the situation.
White House spokesperson John Kirby said that an Iranian attack on Israel could happen as soon as this week.
“The Israelis think there is an increasing probability that Iran and its proxies will attack in the coming days. We share this concern and therefore we are coordinating with Israel and other partners in the region,” Spokesman Kirby said during the briefing.
Last month, Hezbollah leader Ismail Haniyeh was assassinated in his home in Tehran. Israel has not acknowledged any responsibility for the attack, but Iran has repeatedly promised to take revenge on Israel for this action.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For U.S. officials to seek God’s direction as they work to prevent an Iranian attack on Israel.
- For the president, vice president, and members of the administration to receive guidance from the Lord regarding tensions in the Middle East.
